The Gorillaz have been on of my favorite bands since I was first introduced to them in junior high. Honestly, when I first heard that there was a new cartoon band, without even hearing the music, I knew it was something I could vibe with. Then, when I learned that the music being made by these British toon-rockers was actually really good, well, I’ve been a fan ever since. Now, a new documentary has been released providing fans with new and never before seen details into the creation and execution of this incredibly creative and inspiring group.
The film is definitely a must watch for fans of the group and can be seen in its entirety here…

In preperation for their upcoming album release, Clipse, one of my favorite rap groups, teamed up with Kanye West, one of my favorite rappers, for the albums first single “Kinda Like a Big Deal”. Kaws, one of my favorite artists, was nice enough to provide some artwork for the single, as well as the cover of the album which is set to release sometime in 09.

New video for the last track on Ross’s new album Deeper than Rap, which hit shelves today. I couldn’t help but laugh at the video, which just happens to take place at Curtis Jackson’s funeral — the cycle continues! Anyone else getting tired of these futile beefs/publicity stunts between rappers these days…??
Regardless, the album is tight…go get it!
