April 77 Fall 2009 Collection

French label April 77‘s collection for Fall 2009 has got to be one of my favorites for the season. I love the Native American influence and the wide array of fabrics and prints utilized throughout. The collection features several nice footwear options as well, many of which were produced via cruelty free methods. Overall an impressive collection.

Is there any brand out there that compete with A.P.C?  The French label continually puts out quality products while maintaining their clean, simple and classic aesthetic that they have become famous for over the years.  Once again, the brand teamed up with designer Jessica Ogden for their yearly Madras collection.  Produced in India from local fabrics, the collection delivers several items perfect for a sunny day at the beach, all while remaining true to what the brand represents.  The collection is now available through the A.P.C online store.

Woolrich Woolen Mills Spring/Summer 2009

Daiki Suzuki, and the rest of his team at Engineered Garments, deserve to be commended for the job they have done rebuilding Woolrich Woolen Mills to a successful and popular label, after taking over the operation several months back.  For S/S 09, the label offers several nice pieces maintaining their roots as a classically-inspired American workwear brand.

YMC Spring/Summer 09 Preview

The oddly placed patches on the cardigan are a nice touch…I will be looking forward to the rest of the collection.
